I'm just learning to sew (an absolute beginner), and wanted a car that would be easy to use and buy me introduce embroidery. This machine is wonderful! It 'very easy to learn to use, and the accompanying manual is very, very easy to follow. In addition, the manual contains a lot of useful tips for sewing, so I sew a bed for my son to 18 months of age in two days, with no other book or person to guide me (and this was done, he walked around to me). The Help on the LED screen is fantastic too. I look when set on a coil of wire. I also like that you can start / stop the machine with a button or foot pedal. I'm not good at controlling my speed with the pedal, and that the button has proved invaluable to me.

I have sewing since I was a teenager and still do not. Over the years I have made everything from curtains to quilts - and the purse I carry. The summer has just begun is, you've probably already heard: "I'm bored." So imagine why not your older children to sew, and while it teaches a skill they will use the rest of their lives.

I encourage parents to teach their daughters not only, but also their sons in sewing lessons. My son usedask: "Why do you say show me how to use the sewing machine?" He is always interested in what I am sewing and eager to participate. Really, he is not particularly unusual, since so many famous fashion designers are men.
