Use of recycled materials in the craft is nothing new. The first quilt I owned was made from rags from my great-grandmother. The motto "reduce, reuse, recycle", it seemed to be only for thrifty people. With environmental issues making their way onto the front pages of newspapers, but it is no longer only those funds that want to save most of what they want already. Here are some ideas to get you started on how to dress in CRAFT projects and even some recycledGifts.
Old T-Shirts
Quilting was practiced in ancient Egyptian times, and evidence found in the tombs of the pharaohs. Quilting was a form of sewing different pieces of fabric into a single garment, making the later objects of decoration. Blocks from sewing together fabrics to create quilts and patchwork quilting as developed later and was in the middle of the 19th Century to make dominant. Quilting books consisted of three layers of fabric - the top of the ceiling,the padding in the center and the support.
